Kendall Wright, WR Baylor Scouting Report

Kendall Wright, WR Baylor

Kendall Wright, WR Baylor [HT- 5’10 WT-195 4.44 projected 40]

Positives- Kendall is an explosive 4-year starter for the Baylor, catching a pass in all 49 games he has started…Kendall runs quick, precise routes, and can run all of the routes needed at the next level…He possesses quick, natural, fluid hips which helps lead to create further separation from the Defensive Back…He has strong, quick, sure hands that are ready at all times for the pass…Kendall, although small, by today’s NFL standards, is not afraid to go over the middle and throw a block…Even while being nicked up all of the 2011 season, still produces and rarely takes a play off.

Negatives- Kendall is small and gets injured (however minor) easier than most Receivers in this class…He needs to extend out and make more plays with his hands, rather than his body…Hasn’t shown a lot of yards after the catch (he does have great moves and can take it the distance every time) and doesn’t catch the deep pass, although this could be due to the Baylor system…Again, due to the Baylor system, his route running, while precise, needs to be worked on to allow more of them.
