Lamar Miller, RB Miami (Fl.) [HT-5’11 WT-212 4.40 40 time ]
Positives- Lamar has a solid build with Above Average game speed (elite level straight line speed), who can outrun defenses…He possess an Above Average (borderline Elite) start/stop ability and change pace/direction…He is a patient runner who waits for his lane to open up and will follow his blockers…Possess a second gear which he can reach when in the open field (threat to take it the distance) and is able to make defenders take poor angles (baits them)…He shows good hands and is able to make plays from the backfield…He can double as a return man and doesn’t have a lot of miles on his legs (compared to other backs).
Negatives- Lamar has more questions than most running backs this year…He wasn’t asked to sit in the pocket and pass protect, and with his small frame, could be a problem at the next level…Along with his small frame, he struggles to break tackles, resulting in him having to juke or outrun defenders…He shows too much patience at times and will look borderline indecisiveness…He runs high and is still adding weight/muscle to his frame…Durability is a concern due to lingering injuries.
