LaDarius Green, TE Louisiana-Lafayette [HT- 6’6 WT- 245 4.65 projected 40]
Positives- LaDarius is a largely built Tightend with a strong core and equally strong hands and arms…He displays a wide route tree and can/will use this to create mismatches against linebackers…He shows flashes of Elite level quickness off the line, along with a clean release, and Elite level footwork…He has sure hands and is a reliable target in both jump balls and the Red Zone…He can separate with a bevy of moves while also using his arms and hands…He shows Elite open field speed and can stiff arm and juke defenders to gain further YaC…Still raw in his blocking ability but has shown an ability to increase every year, while trying to make the blocks and sealing the edge.
Negatives- LaDarius play and appears much like a big Receiver, and at times will appear uninterested and will not want to make a block or throw his weight/size around…He has a long, thin frame without a lot of room to grow or put more mass onto…He suffers from mental lapses and will drop easily catchable balls (but make difficult ones with “ease”)…Due to his size, he will miss some blocks and will be overpowered by bigger defenders…Durability will be an issue with LaDarius, he has been plagued by constant nagging injuries.
