Trenton Robinson, S Michigan State [HT- 5’10 WT-200 4.47 projected 40]
Positives- Trenton is a solidly built safety with both a strong upper and lower body…He has Above Average coverage skills and plays the position much like a Corner…He has nice hips and can display an ability to stick and mirror the Receiver…He does have an Above Average to keep the ball and play in front of him where he can time the play and make a break for the ball (interception)…He has good tackling form and technique and will track the down the ball carrier…He does and Above Average ability in Blitzing and has a nose, albeit raw as a ballhawk.
Negatives- Trenton is smaller than what his play would suggest…He doesn’t have Elite level instincts, struggles to recover, and has a high backpedal…He displays inconsistent hips and will get out of position frequently…HE does lack the size and natural block shedding ability to play in the box…At times, he will duck and dive on larger ball carriers/Receivers and will miss the tackle/play.
