Andrew Datko, OT/OG Florida State University [HT- 6’6 WT-325]
Positives- Andrew has a large, massive frame with quick feet, fluid hips, and a large bubble…He is naturally quick off the snap and will set his hands and feet and wait for the defender to come to him, rather than overextend and get moved off the play…He is a natural knee and waist bender which aids in his borderline-Elite level balance…Despite his size, he gets good to above average leverage [and] can play below pad level, keep his feet churning, and move the pile and multiple defenders…Great to Above Average run blocker and his movement blocking is tops in the class.
Negatives- Andrew has inconsistent hand placement and can get happy/confused feet…He play low at times and doesn’t have the speed to react [in time] and recover…Only Average football IQ, may be forced inside if he can’t improve and learn to read defenses [with consistency] and learn to seal the edge.
