Donnie Fletcher, CB Boston College [HT- 6’0 WT- 205 4.51 projected 40]
Positives- Donnie is a big, physical Corner…He is more comfortable in Zone, as Boston College didn’t play much Man/Press in terms of playcalling…Due to this, he has a high football IQ and knows where the holes are, and where the route is going to…He does a good job of keeping the Receiver in front of him…Donnie has above average reaction skills and will brake for the ball, not the Receiver…He tracks the ball/route well and can stay with the Receiver, even on Vertical/Stretches and will funnel them to the sideline…He has good hips and is able to brake on the ball and he possess above average tackling ability and will tackle through the ball/carrier.
Negatives- Donnie needs to prove he can press and man at the line at the next level…Has to work on his transition out of his backpedal (usually pedals high) and will get out of position…He only has average speed with a slow first step and doesn’t has a good initial punch at the line…Bigger Receivers do give him fits and will be able to separate off of him to get the ball.
