Brian Quick, WR Appalachian State [HT-6’5 WT- 220 4.59 projected 40]
Positives- Brian is a naturally athletic Receiver who uses his size to his advantage…He has natural balance and good hips (former basketball player with only 5 years of football experience)…He knows how to shield off defenders and box them out on toss ups and corner routes and has large, soft hands…Not quick by any stretch, but he builds onto his speed going downfield and has mastered how to maneuver around defenders to break away rather than simply out running them…Above average balance and coordination for someone his size who runs solid routes (natural hip and flexibility).
Negatives- Brian lacks natural quickness and is not a burner by any stretch…He has to rely on his size to create separation in college, and will have to much the same at the next level…He will get upright on occasion, decreasing his speed and his separation…Doesn’t show the necessary burst off the line and out his cuts to continue to build separation…could be a possession Receiver only at the next level.
