Amini Silatolu, OT/OG Midwestern State Scouting Report

Amini Silatolu, OT/OG Midwestern State [HT- 6’4 WT-330]

Positives- Amini has a large frame with a strong initial punch and large bubble…He has the ability to play inside-out, having played Left Tackle in College and projects to move inside at the next level…A mauling type even as a Tackle who likes to finish off plays (and take down defenders)…Fast off the initial snap and extends off the blocks, getting his hands in place before the defender gets into him…He can shield off and seal the edge from defenders…Amini hits the second level and actively seeks the linebacker.

Negatives- He plays against inferior competition…He isn’t as long (arms and frame) as his play suggests…He isn’t overly quick and does struggle to move and slide his feet…He does over extend and will take himself out of the play (getting beat and pushed out)…Needs to show consistent technique against a higher level of competition.
